Thinking more about citizen media and news literacy

Here’s an interesting interview with Dan Gilmor by Henry Jenkins (who used to teach at MIT but is now at USC), titled “On Skepticism, News Literacy, and Transparency: An Interview with Dan Gilmor (Part One)”

I wonder if there really can be any way of slowing things down in the media (or more specifically, via the citizen media) — with so many people now posting and reposting, quality control seems more and more likely to go out the window.
