When “failure” is really innovation

Simone Giertz has been getting lots of attention lately with her “shitty robots” – I love this video for her emphasis on creativity! She obviously has a lot of fun making these things and isn’t worried about whether she is a “real engineer” or not. . .

One Response to When “failure” is really innovation

Wow great find! I appreciate her creativity and the quirky ideas she has that inspire her robots. She has a unique take on science and engineering and although some may dismiss her “shitty robots” as bogus, the fact that she is even making them is an act to be celebrated. The simple and funny purposes of her robots make her videos interesting to watch and more relatable to the general public. Moreover, we often don’t see women engineers or women who build robots so her presence in YouTube community is great for the representation of women.
